PROJECT BACKGROUND
Strachans was established as a small family firm in 1939 providing victualling services for the large Peterhead herring fishing fleet.
They are are the leading distributor of Food & Catering Consumables to the UK Offshore & Shipping Industry. They believe the flexibility and willingness to meet changing client demands has contributed to them achieving our leading position in the market today.
PROBLEM AND REQUIREMENTS
Strachans Ltd faced several challenges including reliance on unsupported and obsolete hardware and software, dependency on Java running on a Windows platform, centralised operations restricted to a single PC in the reception area, and restricted remote software access due to stringent IT policies prohibiting the use of TeamViewer and other remote access tools.

SOLUTION
Strachans Ltd needed to modernise their Timekeeping and Access Control Systems to improve operational efficiency and emergency response capabilities. The existing database was backed up and transferred from on-premise to the Kelio cloud based hosted solution. Auto Time Systems Ltd also installed a new Kelio X7 Terminal and integrated with the existing Access
Control System, this enables automated Roll Call and Emergency Door opening procedures. A further benefit is the Software can now be accessed from anywhere with a secure internet connection.
